The Canyon Lake Car Club participated in the annual Dr. George Charity Car Show on Feb. 8 at Indian Wells this year. The Canyon Lake Car Club brought 12 members to the event, but it coordinated with other clubs to have a total of 43 Canyon Lakers at the show.

The show raised more than $80,000 and there were over 1,000 vehicles on display.

The Dr. George Charity Car Show is the main fundraising event of the Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Desert Cancer Foundation.

The all-volunteer non-profit organization’s purpose is to promote camaraderie among car enthusiasts. The event was open to Street Rods, Classics, Muscle Cars, Special Interest Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles. The event is held on the grass at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The Canyon Lake Car Club participates in the Dr. George Charity Car Show every year. The Car Club is very active in many car shows throughout the year. Just a few of the local events are the Temecula Rod Run, the Lamb’s Fellowship car Show in Lake Elsinore and the Murrieta Rod Run. The Canyon Lake Car Show is held everyday year by the CL Car Club.
