King Badger
Gutierrez’s father is British, and his mother is of Filipino origin.[3] Gutierrez is a member of the Filipino hip hop collective Ex Battalion who is also known as King Badger since 2016, who performed in some television programs of GMA Network.[4] On 6 October 2018, Gutierrez finally married his longtime girlfriend Jelai Andres.[5]
In 2019, Gutierrez was accused of marital infidelity by his wife, social media influencer and actress Jelai Andres, who claimed that he cheated on her with Toni Fowler.[6]
In 2021, Gutierrez cheated again.[7] Andres filed a concubinage complaint against Gutierrez in the Department of Justice, in Quezon City, on 1 June 2021.[8]
On 10 May 2021, Gutierrez released a track entitled ‘SRRY’ with an accompanying music video under the Ex Battalion YouTube channel. The piece depicts his regrets about his previous relationship with Jelai Andres.[9]

‘I made a mistake’: Ex Battalion’s Jon Gutierrez on rumored split with wife Jelai Andres
By now, everyone’s well-aware of the cost of fame. The adulation and the wealth, they do not certainly come cheap.
Oftentimes, both are paid by giving up one’s privacy — to live under a spotlight that can be quite harsh.
Rapper Jon Gutierrez, one of the members of the hip-hop group Ex Battalion, best known for their viral hit “Hayaan Mo Sila,” is perhaps learning this the hard way as he tried his best to avoid questions about his wife, model-actress Jelai Andres.
He found himself unable to do so and was forced to face a question about their marital problems during a press conference for his group’s upcoming movie, “Sons of Nanay Sabel.”
“I just wanna say na nobody’s perfect, I am not perfect,” he said.
Without going into details, he added: “I made a mistake but right now I’m in the process of sorting it out with my wife. I’m trying to save my marriage but, like I said, everyone makes mistakes.”
He then begs off any further questions, sternly saying: “Any questions about my wife, please don’t ask it. That’s the last question I’m going to answer about it because that’s too personal. Thank you.”
Gutierrez and Andres got married last year. They are rumored to have broken up, although it remains unclear as to exactly why.
According to a Pep report, a third party is involved.

‘Umaasa sa pangalawa mong oo’: Ex Battalion’s Jon Gutierrez writes song for wife after rumored split
Apparently, one of the ways rapper Jon Gutierrez, a member of the popular hip-hop group Ex Battalion, came up with to do just that is to write a song apologizing to Andres, titled “Walang Gana.”
While he did not specifically mention Andres' name in the song, the music video for it did feature plenty of her photos and videos. It also has the line, “Umaasa sa pangalawa mong oo, narito ako.”
Andres has yet to react to the video, which made it to YouTube’s trending list. It’s currently at No. 5 with more than 600,000 views on the site alone less than 24 hours after it was released.
It remains unclear what Gutierrez, who also goes by his rapper name King Badger, did to cause his split with Andres, but a PEP report revealed that a third party is involved.
Lovi natakot munang mag-travel!
“From Mylene and Paolo, Andrew and Andrea, Lawrence and Joyce, and now Doc Migs and SenSen! I’m so glad that after 5 years I’m reunited with my first leading lady ever - @lovipoe! It’s gonna be a riot darling. Comedians na tayo! Heheh! Owe My Love coming soon on GMA Telebabad.”
“I’m more particular with personal hygiene. Kung noon sobrang hindi ako nagpapabaya when it comes to hygiene, lalo na ngayon that there are already several cases of the virus in the Philippines. I wash my hand every so often and I have alcohol with me all the time. Kailangan laging malinis and I don’t touch my face,” sey ni Lovi.
“It’s better to be safe than sorry. I have some bookings that have been cancelled like gracing a store opening in the Middle East. Nakakahinayang because the talent fee is good but nag-iingat lang din sila so I understand.
“I was also scheduled to attend an international film festival in Italy where my movie Latay is in competition. The festival has been cancelled too. It’s understandable, of course because Italy is hit hard by Covid-19. The entire country is now on lock down.”
“People with me in the house and my driver all know that I always ask for rubbing alcohol for my hands. Nowadays, because I also read that the coronavirus stays long on clothes, I get out of them and take a shower the moment I get home and change to a clean house clothes.”
Marami rin daw na tinanggihan na imbitasyon si Benjamin dahil sa outbreak ng virus sa bansa.
“If I know that there will be big crowds, I beg-off na lang from invitations for now. If it cannot be avoided, I see to it that I have a face mask and alcohol or hand sanitizer with me.
Kahit ang hilig niyang mag-travel ay natigil dahil sa pangyayari ngayon.
“I was traveling in between tapings. Kahit three days lang ang bakante, I would travel. But with what’s happening now, hindi muna ko mag-tra-travel.
“You can never tell what you may catch in places that you visit. I also don’t want to jeopardize the production if I end up being quarantined.
Tulad nila Lovi at Benjamin, apektado rin sa stop taping ng teleserye ang mga kasama nila na sina AiAi Delas Alas, Leo Martinez, Nova Villa, Jackie Lou Blanco, Ruby Rodriguez, Kiray Celis, Jason Francisco, Long Mejia, Pekto Nacua, Brod Pete, Buboy Villar, Divine Tetay, Donita Nose, Jon Gutierrez a.k.a. King Badger of Ex Battalion, Jelai Andres, Jessa Chichirita, Angel Velasco, Mahal, Ryan Eigenmann, and Winwyn Marquez.

Toni Fowler vs Jon Gutierrez vs Jelai Andres
The controversy started when blogger and rapper Mark Jayson Roger Warnakulahewa, who is professionally known as Makagago, accused Badger of cheating on his wife by meeting up with Fowler in February 2019. Watch Makagago’s accusations here:
Badger wanted to be in a “scripted” relationship with Fowler, she said. She added that he did not tell her about Andres at the time.
Fowler is currently in a relationship with GMA Network actor Rob Moya. Watch her clarify her involvement in the alleged split of Badger and Andres here:
According to Andres, it was Fowler who sent the video to Badger. Andres did not defend her husband and even expressed her sentiments as a betrayed wife.
Still, Andres could not believe that it was Badger who was pursuing Fowler. Watch the video of Andres calling Fowler a liar here:
In response, Fowler admitted that she is the woman in the sexually explicit video but clarified that she sent it to Badger before knowing he was in a relationship with Andres. Watch Fowler’s explanation here:
In 2017, Badger and Andres’s love story was featured in the GMA Network drama anthology “Magpakailanman.” They were played by Jake Vargas and Julie Anne San Jose, respectively.
As Badger explained, he is currently in the United Kingdom to fix his passport and will fix the issue with his wife when he gets back in the Philippines. Before the controversy, his fellow Ex Batallion member Daryl Borja Ruiz, who is professionally known as Skusta Clee, was accused of cheating on his girlfriend Zeinab Harake.
Ai-Ai says managing Ex Battalion gives her a headache . . . at times
Ex B’s success online recently led to a big acting opportunity for its six core rappers: Daryl Ruiz (Skusta Clee), Jon Gutierrez (King Badger), Mark Maglasang (Bosx1ne), James Samonte (James Brando), Archie dela Cruz (Flow G) and John Mangabang (Emcee Rhenn).
And as the boys cross over into mainstream show biz through Viva Entertainment’s coming comedy film “Sons of Nanay Sabel,” they quickly realized that it’s an entirely different world from the one they’re used to.
“In creating videos for the internet, anything goes, pretty much; we can be more spontaneous. We can say things that are more explicit. But for this film, we had to undergo workshops. There’s a script we have to follow, and we have to deliver certain facial expressions,” Skusta Clee told the Inquirer at a recent press conference for the “Sons,” which opens on May 1.
Directed by Dado Lumibao, the film follows Sabel (Ai-Ai delas Alas) and her funny exploits, as she tries to locate her estranged sons (Ex B) and make up for lost time.
“We were admittedly scared at first because this isn’t our world,” said James, who admitted that many of them required over 10 takes to nail some of their scenes.
Flow G credits Ai-Ai and Direk Dado for guiding him and the others through the process.
“We had no experience going in; we’re no good at acting. But they continued to encourage and challenge us,” he said.
The six are currently managed by Ai-Ai, whom they fondly call Mama Ai. More than the acting tips, the rappers appreciate how the seasoned comedienne guides them in navigating the entertainment industry.

But because Ai-Ai and Ex B had completely different backgrounds, misunderstandings, James admitted, were inevitable.
“Sometimes, she would ask us to do something a certain way. But matigas ang ulo namin and would insist on doing it our way. There have been clashes, but later on, we realize that what she was doing was for our own good,” he said. “But the good thing about her is that she doesn’t impose. She just warns us what could happen, what are the consequences of our actions.”
“Your children aren’t always in the best of moods, but you accept that because you’re their mom. Minsan, mabu-buwisit ka , then you will love them again,” said Ai-Ai, who admitted that there had been times when she wanted to let them go.
“But, I have to be understanding because I brought them to a different world,” she pointed out. “And besides, you can’t deny that they’re good at what they do—rapping and writing music.”
