Strictly cancels second Glasgow show due to water leak

SSE Hydro bosses have bene forced to cancel this evening’s Strictly Come Dancing show as a water leak remains unresolved.

The 1.30pm show today was last minute, leaving fans standing in the pouring rain outside the venue for over two hours.

Taking to Twitter, the venue stated: “We are sorry to announce that this evening’s performance will not go ahead as planned.”

“Our venue team has worked hard to resolve the water leak issue and to determine the cause, which has still to be established.”

SSE Hydro also apologised in a separate Tweet acknowledging the fans that had to wait in the wet and cold weather.

The Tweet read: “We further apologise to our customers at today’s matinee performance who had to wait outside the venue in the rain. The safety of our staff, customers and performers is paramount.”

“We ask that customers please contact their point of purchase for a refund.”
